Pemuchi Beach

ペムチ浜 · Okinawa, Japan

A beach on the southeast coast of Hateruma Island, facing the open sea. The scenery is beautiful, but strong waves and rip currents cause frequent swimming accidents; an official Taketomi Town notice marks it as off-limits for swimming. Recommended only as a scenic point on a cycling loop of the island.
