Cape Takana

高那崎 · Okinawa, Japan

A cape and viewpoint with the Monument of Japan's Southernmost Point. It is a cliff-lined coast rather than a beach, so swimming is not possible. Along with the peace monuments, it is a must-visit on Hateruma Island. Also famous as a stargazing spot (near the Hateruma Star Observation Tower).
